Board of Trustee Responsibilities, but not limited to:
Attends board meetings
Chairs and/or serves on committees
Supports organization with an annual personal contribution
Establishes basic policies and strategic goals
Fundraises and supports development programs
Identifies and cultivates relationships with potential donors
Approves annual budget, operating plan, and audit or financial review
Assures adherence to the Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws
Assures adherence to the National Standards for Community Foundations
Promotes the Foundation’s well-being and function in the community
Board of Directors: Voluntary, legal governing body of a nonprofit.

This is an engaged board committed to the nonprofits in the Homer Foundation service area. They have a respect for the founders of the Foundation and look for board members who can bring new ideas as well to bring us the next generation of strategies to make effective change.
