Director

Kenai Peninsula Housing Initiatives, Inc. (KPHI) seeks committed and community-minded individuals to serve on its Board of Directors. KPHI is a nonprofit housing organization dedicated to developing, owning, and managing affordable housing for low-income households, seniors, and individuals with special needs across the Kenai Peninsula.

KPHI operates as a staff-led organization, with day-to-day operations managed by professional staff. The Board of Directors provides governance, oversight, and strategic direction, and does not engage in routine operational or management functions.

KPHI provides the low-income, very low-income, senior and special needs residents of the Kenai Peninsula area the opportunity to take a more active role in their lives and communities by providing a variety of affordable housing options.

The Board focuses on strategic direction and oversight, while day-to-day operations are led by staff. Clear roles and mutual respect between Board and staff are essential to the organization’s effectiveness.
