Board Member

We are seeking a Board Member to guide and support our non-profit organization’s mission and strategy. The role involves participating in governance and oversight, ensuring legal and ethical compliance, and monitoring financial health. Board members contribute to strategic planning, helping to develop and implement plans while evaluating progress. They play an active role in fundraising, identifying resources, and leveraging networks to secure financial support. Advocacy is key, as members promote the organization, build relationships with stakeholders, and enhance public relations. Board members are expected to attend regular meetings. Ideal candidates are committed to our mission, have leadership or governance experience, and possess strong communication skills. Join us in advancing our mission and making a lasting difference.

Board members are encouraged to participate in all fundraising events of the organization and there is an expectation for giving each year, but the amount is discretionary to the Board member.

Is there any additional information you would like prospective board members to know?

A knowledge of the disability community is helpful but not required for Board membership. We are looking for a spectrum of skills and talents to add depth of knowledge and perspective for board decisions.
