Current Position Description

Board of Directors

The purpose of the Leadership Board of American Lung Association is to assist local offices in our mission to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease.  This can be accomplished in several ways, including but not limited to: 

  • To increase revenue and resources through fundraising activities to support local programs and services; 
  • To raise the profile of the American Lung Association in the communities we serve; and 
  • To advocate for lung health through public policy initiatives

We have a Give/Get request that we hope all members can meet. $1,500 personal give and $3,500 get meaning fundraising or help in securing sponsorships for events.

Are travel expenses related to board service reimbursed? If so explain.

For the Chair and Vice Chair reimbursement is done for travel to the Regional Board meetings that are held out of state.
